I just returned from Japanese class; acquiring this language is difficult but enjoyable, however, more on that later, what is interesting and relevant here is this: the retrieving of language, of anything in ones mind, for that matter, but particularly newly learned and filed words, memorization plainly, is made difficult by excessive thought in the matter--meaning: the words are there, learned, but how do they get out--by remembering them, or by simply allowing speech to flow.
hmmm. maybe that's obvious--I need more practice. Words remembered and words known. I don't want to have to access words, but to have them present themselves when their moment arrives.
Rammstein just came one; German is still in mind; there are certain links there as infallible as my native English which is pleasing. Perhaps someday, listening to Japanese music, I'll notice the same thing.
