Knowing how amused I am by these things, S took me to the Laforet Grand Bazaar in Harajuku for the final day of the weekend mega-sale. For those of you who have wandered into the 109 building in Shibuya, this is much the same, but bigger and louder, though it seems to appeal to a different crowd. I'm certainly not a shopper so I wandered around, one of maybe ten males in the place, suspiciously but I'm sure no one noticed me amongst all the screaming and frenzy.

The whole event is a contest of attention as every makeshift 'shop', eager to outfit young woman in their madness, scream and holler and dance and basically freak out in attempts to make sales. But really, it's not sales they're after, they want souls, don't they?
