The grudgereport

Does anyone out there have a lot of time on their hands? Like say, 24/7? Here's an idea: the drudge report is one of the most popular web sites out there, and is indeed gaining massive influence as both a journalistic source and a mover of opinion. As a catalogue and current archive of news, and for breaking major stories, Drudge often is the news. However, his ideas and his intentions surely color the links, particularly those serial stories that he posts continually. In some cases, he keeps a story alive by simply posting links day after day (the duke rape case), and in others, he will offer contrasting (confusing) views reflecting a debate (global warming). In all cases though, I suspect that there is contrary opinion and reverse conjecture out there, and this is the idea: thebizzarodrudge, themirrordrudge, or whatever; a web site that tracks the movements of Drudge and seeks out the contrary and overlooked news reports relating to the same stories. Matt Drudge is just one guy in a hat, albeit an intelligent hat I would imagine, but just one hat. How about someone without a hat keeping pace? If someone wants to finance this, I'll do it.

this is the first I'd heard of Mr. Drudge and his arch-enemy Mr. Drudgeretort. I'll have to look into this...
